»Read ArticleSade sent out a statement that indicated the release of ‘The Ultimate Collection’ is scheduled for May 3. This album is the follow-up album to Soldier Of Love that went platinum after its release. There will be two CDs in the album and will feature three songs that have never been heard until now. One of these songs is “Moon & The Sky” which is done in collaboration with Jay-Z. Also on the album will be the sould band’s most recognized songs off of the Best Of Collection, Lover’s Rock, and Soldier Of Love.

As a result of his number one album “The Blueprint 3,” Jay Z won enough Grammys to tie with John Legend for the most R&B and Hip Hop awards at the most recent Grammy Awards.
Sunday night, in Los Angeles, the awards were given out. Jay Z won 2 out of 3 Grammys for his work with Alicia Keys on “Empire State of Mind.” This song beat out other songs from Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, and B.o.B. Jay Z also won the “Best Rap Song” Grammy and the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Grammy. The “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group” Grammy went to Jay-Z for his work on the Swizz Beatz song “On To The Next One.”
John Legend won the same number of Grammys as did Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter. He won for “Best R&B Song,” “Best R&B Album,” and “Best Traditional Vocal Performance.”

Legend is appearing in all 17 dates in the U.S. Sade will then continue without Legend to wrap up the tour of 50 dates overseas. Legend will be joining the tour at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore on June 16. Stops include Nassau Coliseum in New York, Amway Center in Orlando, United Center in Chicago and Staples Center in Los Angeles. The U.S. leg will wrap up in Anaheim, California at Honda Center on August 30.

The debut album from Sade, “Diamond Life,” in late 1984 skyrocketed into the UK’s Top Ten and became Platinum. Sade won a Grammy Award as Best New Artist. To date the band has sold 23.5 million certified US units. Their worldwide sales to date are at over 50 million units.
